August 6 Meeting
Laura opened the meeting with the pledge and Mason offered the prayer. Laura, assisted by Bobbie, told about the new fishing pier at Kaufman Lake. It is funded in part by Kellogg Corp, Champaign Park District and C-U Optimist Club. The pier will be handicapped accessible and only 3 feet off the lake. 50 fishers were present with a variety of parents. Many fish were caught and prizes were given to all three age groups. Special thanks to the workers!
