Very Important Information
Members and family as well as our guests from the Decatur and Marshall clubs are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Brats, hot dogs, buns, reg and diet soft drinks and hot chocolate as well as plates and utensils are provided. Bring your chairs to sit near the fire.

October 16
The meeting was opened by President Jim Manley. Carlos led us in the pledge and Mason offered a prayer.
Mike Frogley, Men?s Wheelchair Basketball Coach, was our speaker. Mike coached the Canadian Olympic men?s basketball team in the 2008 Olympics in China. He has coached wheelchair basketball 12 years. In 1992 he was an athlete on the team. In 1996 he coached the champion women?s team and he has coached the men in 2000, 2004 and 2008. Mike loves the ultimate test of athletics and meeting people from other countries. The closing ceremony this year involved 147 countries. He was a very inspirational speaker. He recommends reading Tony Dungy?s book, Quiet Strength. We are proud and fortunate to have him in our community.

Announcements
?  Laura Auteberry will develop a work schedule for the tree sales. We are in the same location and Twin City Tent & Awning is providing the tent. We will be unloading trees Saturday November 29th. Mason, Jim, Walt, Gene and Howard will set the frames for the trees.

? Amy Lopez is our new technology chair. She handed out marketing materials for our club. She designed business cards to hand out to prospective members. Amy also developed an invitation for prospective members. Did you get some to hand out to your friends?

? Gene is looking for children?s gift shoppers and rocking horse painters.

? Door prizes were won by Connie, Carlos and Jim.
